COMPANY PROFILE

Staplethorne Staplethorne is a technical product development company which acts as a bridge between individual or corporate inventors and the marketplace. We work with universities, clinicians, and companies - often forming start-ups that we operate under our own infrastructure - and take early prototypes to pilot commercial launch and beyond. We are based in Devon in the South West of England and can provide a local tailored service. Our key skills are in project management, creation and staffing of start-ups, and physics, electronics & software development and analytical chemistry. We can also offer staff from these disciplines on a temporary or part-time basis.

MAIN PRODUCTS + SERVICES

We specialise in sensors and instrumentation - often in the medical field (e.g. EEG, ECG, electronic stethoscope, cardiac electrophysiology) and security sectors (force sensors, security tags) and in analytical instrumentation (especially XRF). We would be interested to hear if we can be of service to any projects or if members see any other areas of mutual interest. Staplethorne is a Corporate Affiliate of the Institute of Physics, a Business Partner of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, and a member of the South West SMART Club.

COLLABORATIONS SOUGHT

We offer our services in the area of product development and company start-ups, including assistance with grant proposals. Staplethorne is also looking for additional commercialisation partners (joint venture or licensing) for our current projects.
