Atlas Genetics is a healthcare company developing ultra-rapid tests for infectious diseases. Many common infectious diseases are difficult to diagnose, and can only be detected by complex and expensive laboratory tests that takes many days to complete. To meet this demand, Atlas has developed a unique Point-Of-Care (POC) diagnostic system for rapid (< 20 minutes), inexpensive and accurate diagnosis of infectious diseases. The system comprises a low cost reader instrument with tests performed in plastic, single-use disposable cards containing test-specific chemistry. The underpinning technology uses a novel electrochemical DNA and protein detection system that provides high sensitivity coupled with multiplex capability.

MAIN PRODUCTS + SERVICES

Atlas Genetics is developing products for infectious disease diagnostics at POC. The first will be for sexually transmitted infections, followed by healthcare associated infections and specific high value equine tests. Atlas is able to work either from existing molecular and immunoassays and convert to its proprietary rapid platform, or develop new tests using bioinformatics.

COLLABORATIONS SOUGHT

Atlas Genetics is interested in forming partnerships to exploit its platform technology for rapid DNA/RNA and protein detection, and would also consider IP licensing for areas non-competitive with its core activity in rapid diagnostics for infectious diseases
